Facts : Training Teachers for children in their early childhood is not about what to teach but how to learn, in order to teach these children effectively there for we encourage pupil teachers we train to be lifelong learners to adapt eve changing learning needs of the children , empower their education and help them to reach their goals. Our global networks continuously enhance their learning and teaching skill sets. What our pupil teachers learn today will make children succeed tomorrow.     

OUR RESEARCH

The CMD of SAVITRI Group of Institutions, Mr. S.N. Duggal, has been visiting America for acquiring pre-school, early childhood education, practical knowledge and skills, which has been regularly embedded into the course content for ECCE over the past 22 years. Year after year, we have adopted a novel pattern of teacher training and taught our trainees to foster innovation with various hard and soft skills, 100 teacher-tested-techniques, art of business, yet unexplored in India. Student Innovation Unit at SAVITRI Polytechnic for Women has played an important role, involving students closely and actively.

Now, as the teaching methodology has seen a sea change from the traditional teacher-centered to student-centered approach, the employers have also started thinking differently. So ‘Smart Teachers’ have replaced just ‘Knowledgeable’ teachers. And in this context, the Early Childhood Care Education (ECCE) course we offer is a specialized course to train aspiring teachers in educating young learners. It imparts necessary knowledge and skills to enable a teacher to be a mentor and facilitator in the current scenario of student-centered learning. It familiarizes the trainees with the latest teaching methodology, resources and best practices in classroom management and assessment to fit in children’s needs and problem solving in most systematic way.

Teaching Methodology

Our teachers train the trainees such that they understand smart ways to handle the children eg. How to say ‘NO’, stealing, lying, character building traits, socializing, communicating etc. to name a few teacher-tested-techniques.

The ECCE Diploma addresses the development of today’s children and focuses on the aspects you need to become an effective child care professional. The curriculum is developed by child care professionals who have to deal with a child’s emotional, social, physical and educational needs and imparted through play-way method.

Though the trainees have been getting placements after 1 year Diploma, we encourage 2 year Diploma course which is approved by NCTE New Delhi in coordination with the Art & Craft course in order to enhance job prospects in terms of salary and position. We have evening and weekend classes to facilitate women.
